Tuesday, January 26th: Club assembly—ShelterBox. on display Wednesday, January 20th, 5:30 pm: Club Board Meeting at Vinny’s Office. Tuesday, January 19th: Joan Thomas spoke about the devastation in Haiti and we discussed what we might do to plan an aid project for Haiti. Tuesday, June 2nd: Frank Corvino, President of Greenwich Hospital, to talk about Greenwich hospital, it’s outreach programs, and relationships with the community. Tuesday, May 26th: District Governor Nominee, George Camp, to talk about Polio Plus, Rotary International’s Annual Giving program, and his recent trip to Nigeria. George was recently awarded the Rotary International Service Above Self Award. This is Rotary's highest honor for individual Rotarians, recognizing those who have displayed exemplary humanitarian service with a focus on active involvement in helping others through Rotary. It is awarded to only 120 Rotarians, out of 1.2 million. That’s one in ten thousand Rotarians or .01 percent. Our club is honored to have George as our guest. Tuesday, May 5th: Deacon Billy Vaccaro of the Holy Rosary Parish and the Don Bosco Center, to tak about the Don Bosco Center. APRIL, 2009: Tuesday, April 28th, 2009: Club Assembly. Discussions to include membership, attendance, events and projects. Sunday, April 26th: Annual Raffle. Tickets are available from all members. Tuesday, April 21st: 7:00 pm: Tentative: Get-together with the GSE Team at the Copacabana in Port Chester. Meet the Brazilian Team and their hosts. Tuesday, April 21st: Joint meeting with Area-4 Clubs and presentation of this year’s GSE team from Brazil: Lunch hosted by Port Chester-Rye Brook Rotary Club at T&J's: This will be a joint meeting with Harrison, Rye, Larchmont and Mamaroneck Rotary Clubs. Area-3 clubs are also welcome. Please confirm attendance, with Secretary John Dick or President Vincent Coakley, as numbers may be limited. Saturday, April 18th: Fun-run in Central Park for Concern Worldwide. We will be joined by the Brazilian GSE Team. Breakfast afterward. Everybody is welcome, but please register.
